President and CEO


Dr. Wang founded SynTest in January 1990. Since then, Dr. Wang has led the company to grow to more than 60 full-time employees and 200 customers worldwide. Along with overall management responsibility for worldwide operations, he is also responsible for defining SynTest's technology roadmap. Prior to founding SynTest, Dr. Wang had worked at several technology companies, including Intel and Daisy Systems.

Dr. Wang has published more than 30 technical papers and filed a number of patents in the area of Test Generation, Built-in Self-Test (BIST), and Design for Testability. He received his MSEE and EE Ph.D. degrees from Stanford University, and his BSEE and MSEE from National Taiwan University, Taiwan.


[ Ravi Apte]

Sr. VP of Strategy & Business Development


Dr. Ravi Apte is responsible for corporate business strategy. Since joining SynTest 1999, Ravi has been active in forming strategic relationships, managing conferences/show participation and introducing SynTest products in Europe. Before joining SynTest, Ravi managed engineering teams at chip-design and engineering houses, and was an Engineering Group Director at Cadence Design Systems (San Jose, California). He also held various engineering management positions at Hewlett-Packard. He has been involved with the EDA and test industry for over 25 years.

Dr. Apte has been part of the program committee for the International Test Conference (ITC). He has co-edited a book on VLSI design and has published numerous articles/papers in magazines, workshops and conferences. Ravi holds a B.Tech. (EE) from IIT, Bombay and a Ph.D. from SMU, Dallas, Texas.



[ Finney Tsai ]

Vice President of Research & Development

Finney has been with SynTest since November 1995. He is the chief architect and developer of TurboFault, one of SynTest's flagship products. Finney is responsible for TurboFault and advanced DFT product research & development. Prior to joining SynTest, he held various engineering positions at Ikos Systems and HaL Computer Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary of Fujitsu Japan.

Mr. Tsai holds a BS degree in Computer Science from National Taiwan University, Taiwan, and an MS degree in Computer Science from Stanford University.



[ Harry Yoon ]

VP of Sales


Harry Yoon is responsible for sales in the USA as well as the Korea and Europe region.
Harry was instrumental in setting up the SynTest Korea office and has managed it since 1999. He introduced SynTest DFT products and services to major Korean companies and has achieved a strong relationship with most major semiconductor and electronics companies.
Before joining SynTest, Harry founded Geyser Electron for distributing premium EDA products from various vendors. Prior to that, Harry played key roles at Intellect, Inc., Western Digital, LG Semiconductor, and LG Electronics.

Harry holds a Bachelors Degree in Electronics Engineering from Yonsei University, Korea.



[Shianling Wu]

VP of Engineering


Shianling joined SynTest in fall of 2002 and brought with her 23+ years of distinguished career from Bell Laboratories in Design-for-Test technology R&D and people management skills. Shianling leads SynTest's engineering teams across US, Asia, and Europe. The global team works in unison around the clock with keen focus on innovation, product excellence, and superb customer services. The ultimate goal is not just to satisfy but to far exceed the expectations of SynTest multi-national customers who have diverse requirements.

Shianling received BS in CS from City College of New York and MS in Computer Engineering from Columbia University.
